Great books
Hi ladies, just wanted to ask, what ASD related books have you found that stand out or have really helped with something.
I mean ive found alot of books, but nothing that has really clicked with me, if that makes sense.

Re: Great books
I have only looked at a few (we are awaiting diagnosis) one was written from the child's point of view, lots of pictures. It was great, but I'm sorry, I can't remember the name! I will see if I can hunt it down

Re: Great books
is it from the child's point of view for the child or from the child's point of view for the parent/carer? Sounds good either way might be hubby's Christmas present

The out of sync child and the out of sync child has fun are both great.
All about sensory stuff.

The Autism Experience, I highly reccomend.A book from parents to parents. I am a little biased as I know the author and contributed to the book, but it really is great.
Look me in the eye by John Elder Robinson is great.

I think its from the child's point of view. Very simple, a few words and lots of pictures. I think it would be great for other kids, to help them understand.Jeshiko wrote:is it from the child's point of view for the child or from the child's point of view for the parent/carer?
