Re: Achievements and celebrations
I asked Mikko if he wanted a banana today and he said "okay" (it was actually 'okayd' but close enough!). He has never replied with an afirmative before. I asked again and he said it again
Re: Achievements and celebrations
Yay Mikko!
Has anyone suggested signing? I only ask because we have been doing a bit of it at Playcentre (the abc sign song) and William is just so into it, he wants to sing/sign it all the time, it's lovely

Re: Achievements and celebrations
Mikko just put a pair of shorts on himself for the first time. They are backwards but hey that's okay Previously he has only been into undressing so this is pretty cool.

DD1 is starting to write lots - she loves the tv show "Word World" on Disney Junior and she is copying the words she is seeing on the show. Last term, her teacher was saying that she has little/no interest in writing at school - so I am super-excited that she is writing words like "rocket", "drum", "tuba" & "corn" (all from Word World!)

Yay thats awesome.
Christopher thanked me for making him a slice the ohter day (he loves my baking)....then told his dad secretly that he didnt like it.
I was so happy, for one he showed empathy, or at least didnt want to upset me. And some tact.....because he usually tells it like it is!!

Re: Achievements and celebrations
well done to all our wonderful children
awwww Bless our Joshua, he did really well today having his blood test he only screamed when they stuck the needle in and when they took it out, He even got a certificate saying how brave he was, it has a picture of lightning McQueen on it.
We then went in to town and he had half a hash brown!! so stoked we dont have to have mashed spud all the time now!!!

Glad the blood test went well; haven't had to do that in ages with Ian; but it used to take 3 people to do it.
Re: Achievements and celebrations
Just wanted to say it was Shardei's bday today, She turned 3! YAY.
We went to chipmunks, and she had so much fun, it was great. Then went home and had BBQ with the family, just a nice relaxing afternoon.
She even blew out her candle. Woohoo.

Yay! I love the positive stories about our children.
Ian went to 2 parties on Saturday; was well behaved at both despite the second finishing at 9.30pm with fireworks!

Re: Achievements and celebrations
Mikko just did a big squeal (he likes to do that quite often ) and Kasper is in bed so I growled at him a little and told him he would have to go to bed if he did it again AND he replied "sorry" He doesn't normally say sorry even when prompted and has never ever said it in the right context and without a prompt
We also had his preschool x-mas party today and he was really good and aside from a 1 meltdown while waiting for the miniature train ride he was well behaved and basically did what I asked him the whole morning If I hadn't been running around after Kasper the whole time it may even have been relaxing

Re: Achievements and celebrations
William is quite shy/awkward/hides behind me/tells me he doesn't want people to talk or look at him, at the beginning, in social situations. This weekend we had relatives come to visit that he had never met before. We waited at my mums house all morning for them to arrive, and when they did, William ran up to them and gave them big cuddles, telling them "I'm 3!" Was so cool to see!
